Terms of service

Last updated · 04 May 2026

These early access terms ("Terms") explain how you may use DataSnipe ("DataSnipe", "we") during the invite-only launch period. They apply to the DataSnipe website and web application (collectively, the "Service").

1. Accounts

Access is currently invite-only and accounts are approved manually. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

2. The Service

DataSnipe processes documents you submit and returns structured data extracted by third-party large language models selected by you. Outputs include citations and confidence scores, but model output is probabilistic and may vary across runs, models, and provider changes. You are responsible for reviewing extractions before relying on them for material decisions.

3. Fees and billing

DataSnipe runs on prepaid credits. Credits must be purchased before processing and do not expire. Taxes or VAT are applied at the time of credit purchase. Pricing shown on the pricing page is an estimate or quote; the actual credit cost for a job may vary based on the model selected, document type, document size, and processing required.

Credits are generally non-refundable, but you may contact support if something goes wrong. Failed jobs are charged only where the failure is caused by an issue on your side; otherwise, we will refund the credits for that job. Re-runs are charged as separate jobs.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to submit documents containing material you do not have the right to process, content prohibited by applicable law, malware, credentials, secrets, or material designed to circumvent the technical safeguards of DataSnipe or any model provider. You are responsible for obtaining any required permissions, consents, or legal basis for the documents and personal data you submit.

We may apply usage limits, block jobs, or suspend access where we believe use of the Service creates legal, security, operational, or abuse risk.

5. Intellectual property

You retain all rights in the documents you submit and in the extracted output. DataSnipe retains rights in the Service itself. Nothing in these Terms grants either party rights in the other's trademarks.

6. Suspension, termination, and early access changes

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if we believe there has been misuse, a security issue, legal risk, or breach of these Terms. Unused credits after termination are handled case by case.

Because DataSnipe is in early access, features may change, be limited, or be discontinued. If we remove a feature in a way that materially affects early adopters, we will assess refunds or credits where appropriate.

7. Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided "as is" and as an assistive tool. DataSnipe does not provide legal, financial, medical, compliance, or other professional advice. You are solely responsible for reviewing outputs and for any decisions, exports, filings, reports, or actions you take using them.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DataSnipe disclaims all warranties and excludes liability for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost revenue, loss of data, or business interruption. These limits apply only where the law allows them.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of London.
